The Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority (Rwanda FDA) has suspended the importation of 52 alcoholic beverage brands and ordered a full recall of products already in the country.
The emergency directive took effect immediately because of serious public health concerns with importers being told to stop bringing in the affected products and submit official recall reports to the Rwanda FDA within three working days.
The Authority ordered a total recall of all the listed products. Distributors being ordered to contact their clients, collect the products, return the remaining stock to importers and provide details of the recall.
