Aug. 7 (UPI) -- At least seven people were killed, including the suspected gunman, following a shooting at a school in Thailand's central Nonthaburi province near Bangkok on Friday morning, authorities said.
The Royal Thai Police announced the death toll in a statement, adding that at least 15 others were injured, two of whom were in serious condition.
Little information about the shooting was clear. The Royal Thai Police said a 9mm handgun was found at the scene and was reported to belong to a member of the suspected shooter's family.
"Police are conducting a thorough investigation," it said. "Further details will be provided as they become available."
