BANGKOK, Thailand – Seven people were killed in a school shooting in Thailand on Friday, August 7, including the gunman, and 15 people were wounded, Thai national police spokesperson Trairong Phiwphan said.
One of those reportedly killed was a teacher.
Initial reports said a student opened fire at a school in Thailand before killing himself, authorities said.
Lieutenant Colonel Dechrapee Kongdee, Nonthaburi Provincial Police commander, earlier confirmed the casualties to Reuters and said the suspected gunman had committed suicide.
