There were grim scenes at a hospital in Wales as a hooded figure wielding an apparent scythe prowled the rooftop.
Patients arriving for treatment and healthcare workers going about their day were met with an extraordinary sight when a hooded figure carrying what appeared to be a scythe was spotted standing on the roof of a hospital in Wales.
The unsettling scene, which many likened to the Grim Reaper, unfolded at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital in Wales on June 6, where 26-year-old Leon Gillespie climbed onto the building and remained there for about 50 minutes, according to the North Wales Pioneer.
As staff and visitors looked on from below, Gillespie, dressed in a long black hooded costume and holding a long blade-like object, reportedly made noises while perched on the roof, drawing the attention of authorities.
"Gillespie was charged with other than for the purpose of obtaining medical advice, treatment or care, caused, without reasonable excuse, a nuisance or disturbance to a National Health Service (NHS) staff member who was working there or was otherwise there in connection with work, and refused, without reasonable excuse, to leave the premises when asked to do so by a constable," North Wales Police said.
