Russian missile and drone attacks have caused direct losses worth billions of hryvnias to Ukrainian online retailer Rozetka, marking the largest financial damage in the company’s history, co-founder Vladyslav Chechetkin said on Thursday, Aug. 6. Rozetka calls for greater government support Chechetkin said the government could help businesses affected by Russian attacks by expanding access to war-risk insurance with higher coverage limits, providing tax relief during reconstruction and offering concessional loans. He also called for simplifying regulations governing private air defense, saying the current rules make it nearly impossible for businesses to use the mechanism. Two attacks hit Rozetka warehouses The comments came a day after a Russian missile strike destroyed one of Rozetka’s warehouses in Brovary, in the Kyiv region. The company said the logistics complex was beyond repair, although no one was injured in the attack. The strike followed another Russian drone attack several days earlier that hit a separate Rozetka warehouse in the Kyiv region, killing one employee and injuring seven others.
