By Jimmy Fallon’s logic, we could all save a lot of time and money just by putting first lady Melania Trump’s face on that cognitive test President Donald Trump keeps taking. On Wednesday’s episode of “The Tonight Show,” host Fallon opened up his monologue with a joke about Amazon’s new “Melania” docuseries that will be released this fall. In fairness, her husband did render the East Wing, typically used by the first lady and her staff, uninhabitable last year to make way for his ballroom. Plus, Trump sounds like he keeps a pretty filthy bedroom.Journalist Michael Wolff wrote in his Substack earlier this year that the first lady spends most of her time at Trump Tower in New York. “Trump and his wife barely speak,” Wolff said last month. “There is hardly even the pretense that she lives in the White House. Every appearance is a negotiated one.” So, who knows? Maybe the “Melania” docuseries will follow the first lady as she alters another blouse for a trip to Washington to have a negotiated visit with her husband. Sounds riveting. We smell an Oscar.
