Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior has ended speculation over his future by signing a new six-year contract with Real Madrid that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2032.

The 26-year-old had entered the final year of his previous deal and had been linked with a move away from the Spanish giants, with Arsenal reportedly among the clubs monitoring his situation.

However, Real Madrid confirmed on Thursday that both parties had reached an agreement to extend his stay for another six years.

Reacting to the announcement, Vinicius wrote on Instagram: “Eight years at the Bernabéu are too short… Six more years, and then forever.”
