Tether is planting its tokenization flag in the Saudi Arabian real estate market. The company announced a strategic collaboration with First Advanced Data for Artificial Intelligence LLC (First Data) and fintech firm BKN301 to deploy its Hadron tokenization platform for institutional-grade real estate assets in the kingdom.
How the partnership works
The three-way collaboration assigns distinct roles to each player. First Data will serve as the commercial lead, issuer, and primary market operator. BKN301 provides integration support and operational infrastructure. Tether’s contribution is Hadron itself, the platform designed to handle issuance, management, compliance, and lifecycle administration of tokenized assets.
One particularly notable design consideration is Sharia compliance. The tokenization framework has been structured to ensure that property ownership transfers and fractionalization align with Islamic finance principles.
Paolo Ardoino, Tether’s CEO, described the collaboration as a way to enhance global asset liquidity and accessibility while building an efficient and secure exchange platform within Saudi Arabia.
