Huawei-backed premium automotive brand Maextro has officially launched two flagship extended-range MPV models, marking a bold entry into China's ultra-luxury multi-purpose vehicle segment long dominated by imported Japanese brands such as the Toyota Alphard and Lexus LM.
The Maextro V800 is the brand's first MPV and the most expensive MPV model in the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance portfolio.
Huawei Executive Director and Terminal Business Group Chairman Yu Chengdong said the V800 integrates Huawei's next-generation battery platform and an enhanced architecture built for L3 autonomous driving.
Huachuang Securities noted that the V800 is the first Chinese-brand model in the 600,000-yuan-and-above luxury MPV segment, a market with annual capacity of about 20,000 units where brand prestige and exclusivity are the primary drivers.
