The Police Service Commission (PSC) has formally handed over 50,000 newly recruited Police Constables to the Nigeria Police Force for training.
The handover ceremony, which took place on Wednesday at the Commission’s corporate headquarters in Abuja, marked the completion of the recruitment phase and the commencement of preparations for the training of the successful candidates.
In a statement issued by the PSC spokesman, Torty Njoku, the commission said the exercise was carried out in line with the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and relevant statutory provisions.
Presiding over the ceremony on behalf of the PSC Chairman, Hon. Justice Paul Adamu Galumje (retd.), Commissioner 1 of the Commission thanked the President for his support and formally handed over the recruits to the police for training at designated Police Colleges and other approved institutions.
