The General Manager, South Western Railway, P. Ananth conducted a comprehensive inspection of various establishments and infrastructure in Mysuru division on Wednesday.During his visit, the General Manager inspected the Railway Hospital, Mysuru, to review the quality of healthcare services and patient care being provided. He interacted with doctors, hospital staff, and patients, and assessed the availability of medical equipment, healthcare facilities, and essential infrastructure.Mr. Ananth emphasised the importance of providing timely, efficient, and patient-centric medical services and stressed the need to equip the hospital with modern healthcare facilities to meet the needs of railway employees and their families.The General Manager also conducted a window trailing inspection of the Mysuru–Chamarajanagar section. During the inspection, he examined the Station Master’s panel, station yard, and points at Nanjangud and Chamarajanagar station; reviewed the progress of works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS); inspected the Level Crossing Gate No. 35 on the Nanjangud–Chamarajanagar section. Mr. Ananth directed officials to expedite the ABSS works and ensure completion within the stipulated timeline while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.Later, the General Manager chaired a review meeting at the DRM office, Mysuru to assess the division’s performance and the progress of key projects. The meeting focused on strengthening operations, enhancing infrastructure, and improving passenger services across the division.The inspection and review meeting were attended by DRM Mysuru, Mr. Mudit Mittal, ADRM Shammas Hameed and other senior officers of the division.
