Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande is on the verge of completing a blockbuster move from RB Leipzig to Real Madrid. in a deal worth between €120 million and €130 million, a transfer that would make him the most expensive African footballer in history.
According to multiple reports, Real Madrid have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig following lengthy negotiations, with the overall package potentially rising to €140 million through performance-related add-ons.
Record-breaking transfer nears
The 19-year-old joined Leipzig’s pre-season training camp in Austria earlier this week but has now been granted permission to leave after both clubs reached a full agreement.
Diomande is expected to travel to Madrid to complete his medical and finalise the transfer once it receives formal approval from Leipzig’s board.
