Restaurant Brands $QSR International reported second-quarter results on Thursday that beat analyst expectations, powered by a sharp acceleration in Burger King's U.S. sales.

Adjusted earnings per share came in at $1.07. Analysts had expected $1.03 per share, according to CNBC. Net revenue rose 4.5% to $2.52 billion, meeting analyst expectations.
