British private investment firm Bridgepoint Group is exploring a potential secondary-market transaction to sell more than $1.15 billion in private credit stakes.
While the deal remains under consideration and has not yet been finalized, the transaction would involve investors acquiring new positions in a continuation vehicle, a fund structure that pools existing loans and provides liquidity for investors seeking to exit, Bloomberg reported.
Continuation vehicles and secondary transactions have gained traction in recent months as tougher exit conditions push investors to seek alternative liquidity options.
