The Government says more than SAT$1.46 million of Faleata No. 2’s SAT$1.8 million district allocation was distributed through the SAT$150 Back-to-School Support Programme.
The Samoa District Development Authority (SDDA) released a statement on Wednesday evening outlining how the district used its SAT$1.8 million allocation for the 2025–2026 financial year.
The authority said 9,769 beneficiaries received SAT$150 each, bringing the programme’s total cost in Faleata No. 2 to SAT$1,465,350. The authority acknowledged that some residents missed out, including people who registered after applications closed and seasonal workers who recently returned from overseas. The programme officially ended on June 30, 2026.
