US charge point operator EVgo has announced plans to deploy Tesla Superchargers across its public fast-charging network through Tesla’s Supercharger for Business programme. Construction is scheduled to begin this autumn, with the first locations expected to enter service in the second half of 2026. According to the company, individual sites will feature up to 20 charging stalls, primarily at retail and restaurant destinations.
The new chargers will operate under the name ‘EVgo Superchargers’ and become part of EVgo’s existing network. While EVgo will own the charging stations and determine pricing, the V4 Supercharger hardware will be integrated into Tesla’s ecosystem. The sites will appear in Tesla vehicles’ navigation systems, allowing Tesla’s Trip Planner to automatically route drivers to EVgo-operated locations.
The move follows Tesla’s decision last year to make its Supercharger technology available to third-party charging operators, allowing companies to purchase, brand and operate the hardware under their own networks.
The V4 Superchargers support charging at up to 500 kW and 1,000 volts, making them compatible with both current 400-volt EVs and newer 800-volt architectures. They are equipped with Tesla’s Magic Dock system, enabling both NACS- and CCS-equipped vehicles to charge without requiring an external adapter. EVgo also says the stations will feature the longer charging cables introduced with Tesla’s latest hardware to accommodate different charging port locations.
