Perez's family have spoken out to ask fans for prayers and well wishes as they gave an updated on his condition.‌Ireland Baldwin, the daughter of Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin, has been slammed for her response to the incident. Ireland said she had been body-shamed by the star as she recalled how she and her family had been impacted by his online commentary.‌Posting to her 683,000 Instagram followers, Ireland, 30, shared a selfie showing half of her face, alongside the caption: "Perez Hilton has publicly humiliated my family for years, sexualised me from a young age, commented on my weight and body (as a child), made unforgivable comments about people in my family, drew j**z coming out of my mom's and friend's mouths, and has always been a despicable human being."But his children deserve better, and a healthy father, and I am so sad for all of them. I hope he gets the help he needs and heals." Despite Ireland's message ending with her saying she hopes Perez gets treatment, she has been slammed for her comment.One social media user said: "Let me say this. Ireland Baldwin has no room to say [poo emoji] about Perez. He didn't do anything to her. She's not blaming her dad for his [poo emoji] choices. Her parents threw her into the limelight.‌"Perez didn't do anything more than anyone else. He just didn't pander to celebs - the same way most social media commentators don't pander to this [poo emoji]. It is not karma for Perez to deserve this. He apologised a million times. She said: "I am utterly disgusted that people are asking, and looking, and finding videos and photographs of this poor man in the middle of the most horrific breakdown.‌"Shame on all these platforms that are not getting rid of these immediately, because we know they can when it's things that they don't agree with, right? And a danger to our children."Hilton was seen brandishing a knife around during the broadcast as his fans raised the alarm and called local law enforcement agencies. Miami police received reports of a "possible suicide" at around 6:51pm local time on Tuesday, and at around 10:41pm, police requested assistance from the fire service, describing Hilton's home as an "active police scene".The celebrity blogger, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving treatment and is communicating with his family‌Last night, Perez's family said that he had "given them hope" after being hospitalised. In a statement, they said: "Our family wants to once again thank everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind messages, and support for Perez. Your compassionate humanity during this profoundly heartbreaking time has meant more than words can express."This has been incredibly difficult and emotional for us, made even harder because very little information has been made available to our family. While we continue to wait for further updates, we remain hopeful.
