New AmaZulu defender Unathi Omega Mdaka is hoping it will be third time lucky in the MTN8 as he targets the first winners' medal of his career with AmaZulu.
Having twice finished on the losing side in MTN8 finals during his time at Stellenbosch, Mdaka is determined to go one step further with Usuthu, who host Sekhukhune United in Sunday's quarter-final at Chatsworth Stadium (3pm kick-off).
"As young as I am, I've been fortunate enough to play in two MTN8 finals," Mdaka said at AmaZulu's media open day on Wednesday.
"I've got two silver medals and I want that gold one. I want to work hard for the team to get there, for the players to experience what it's like to play in a final and hopefully this time, win it."
