A 21-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for setting a car on fire, preparing an act of sabotage, and attempting to murder a Ukrainian serviceman.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office announced the verdict, according to Ukrinform.

"Based on the public prosecution by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 21-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia was found guilty of intentional destruction of property by arson, preparing an act of sabotage under martial law committed by a group acting in prior conspiracy, and attempted premeditated murder committed for financial gain under a contract. […] The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of all his property," the statement said.

Prosecutors proved in court that the man, seeking easy money, accepted an offer from an unknown individual via a messaging app and began carrying out assignments in exchange for payment.
