Chevron, operator of the supergiant Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan, has downplayed the risks of an extended shutdown of the 1.5 million barrel per day Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) oil pipeline despite a series of interruptions caused by Ukrainian drone strikes on ships approaching the CPC terminal outside the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk.
