It was a blockbuster opening beyond all other blockbuster opening for Spider-Man: Brand New Day over the weekend. The fourth film about the superhero as part of the extended Marvel Cinematic Universe, led by the now-married real-life couple Tom Holland and Zendaya, debuted to over $360 million in domestic box office returns in its first weekend, topping 2019’s Avengers: Endgame for the biggest opening weekend in U.S. history.
