The University of Delhi has begun seat allocations for its one-year postgraduate (PG) programme. Candidates allotted seats across 28 departments on Tuesday can accept their offers by August 6. Departments will verify and approve applications, following which candidates must pay the fees by August 9.Earlier, students had raised concerns over the limited number of seats, which were significantly lower than the number of graduates from the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme seeking admission to the one-year PG course.Following protests, the university last week announced an increase in seats from around 1,100 to 2,287 to accommodate more students. It also said that the one-year PG programme would be offered through the School of Open Learning (SOL).A university official said that while the admission process has commenced with the first round of allocations, the schedule for other departments is yet to be announced.
