Photos on Wednesday show construction workers are taking a jackhammer to the helipad being built on the White House’s South Lawn, after President Donald Trump reportedly ordered contractors to make changes over frustrations with its appearance.

Photos captured by the Associated Press on Wednesday show workers have apparently ripped up some of the work previously done on the White House helipad, including the removal of the letters of the presidential seal that once lined its outer edge.
Trump ordered contractors to redo the helipad after growing dissatisfied with its appearance, the Post reported, noting the White House’s South Lawn slants downward, but Trump wants a helipad that sits level with the horizon.
The Post, citing sources familiar with Trump’s private comments, reported contractors are now considering whether to restart by altering the lawn itself.
