Selvakumar, said.Investment roadshow draws interest from leading companiesThe announcements came on the second day of the Karnataka government’s two-day investment roadshow in Mumbai, led by Minister for Large and Medium Industries M.B. Patil, to attract fresh investments into the State. The government delegation held discussions with representatives of Blackstone, Saint-Gobain, Horizon, Henkel, KEC International and ideaForge Technology.Speaking about the meetings, Dr Selvakumar said Cipla had already commenced the expansion of its Bommasandra facility, with production at the expanded unit expected to begin by December this year.He added that Blackstone had expressed interest in investing in data centres, renewable energy and fibre-optic infrastructure in Karnataka.Saint-Gobain, Horizon explore expansion opportunitiesMeanwhile, Saint-Gobain, a global manufacturer of glass and advanced materials, is planning to expand its manufacturing facilities in the State. The government has briefed the company on suitable land parcels for the proposed expansion, he said.The State government also encouraged Horizon to explore investment opportunities in Karnataka’s Tier-2 cities across the industrial and infrastructure sectors.
