Image: Rain Kooli / YleYle News16:34Updated 16:35The Finnish Border Guard on Wednesday said it would send bilateral border security assistance to Estonia at the request of the country's police and border guard.The deployment will consist of a single border patrol unit and one patrol vehicle until early September.The patrol will support border security at Tallinn's port and airport, thereby also strengthening Finland's own border security, the Finnish Border Guard said in a statement.The deployment is linked to the continuing flow of illegal migration from Belarus towards the Baltic states and other European countries.The Finnish Border Guard said the deployment can be expanded or extended if necessary.
