European operator AtlasEdge has started expansion work at its data center campus outside Hamburg, Germany.

The company has started the next expansion phase of HAM002 colocation data center located in Ahrensburg, northeast of Hamburg. It will add 3.2MW of capacity and is the second phase of a total of four.

On full completion, HAM002 will provide 10,000 sqm (107,640 sq ft) of facility space with a total power capacity of 20MW.

HAM002 (previously known as HAM1), the first phase of AtlasEdge’s second Hamburg data center, was opened in 2024 by DatacenterOne (DC1), a German colocation firm acquired by AtlasEdge in 2022. The first phase spans 3,500 sqm (37,675 sq ft) and has a capacity of 4.4MW. The facility is almost fully leased and is due to be operational in Q2 2027.
