Australian data center firm GreenSquare is planning a new facility in Melbourne, Victoria.
GreenSquare is proposing to develop a new data center at 44–76 Simcock Avenue, in the Spotswood area of Melbourne. MEL1 could offer 240MW of IT capacity across three stories, according to the firm.

Due to be live in 2027, the company said the site will use a closed-loop hybrid cooling system that recirculates water and operates water-free for most of the year.
The site was chosen, according to the firm, because it is situated in an established industrial precinct with access to existing transport and digital infrastructure.
