Premier League club Hull City has signed Greece goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis from Olympiakos on a five-year contract in a club-record transfer.
Neither club disclosed financial details, but British media reported the fee to be more than 20 million pounds (€23.2 million), surpassing Hull’s previous record signing of Ryan Mason in 2016.
The 23-year-old completed a medical in Athens after leaving Olympiakos’ preseason training camp in the Netherlands before joining Hull’s squad in Turkey.
“I am very happy to be here. It’s a big honor to join Hull City. I am ready for a new chapter in my career,” Tzolakis said.
“I wanted to come to Hull City because the Premier League is the top stage. I know Hull have passionate supporters, so I can’t wait to play for them.”
