Arab and Muslim foreign ministers met in Jordan to discuss escalating Israeli actions at Al Aqsa mosque, one of Islam's holiest sites.
The committee, chaired by Jordan and established by the Arab League in 2017, includes representatives from 14 countries across the Arab and Islamic world.
Jordan's custodianship of Al Aqsa, dating to the 1920s, is central to King Abdullah's foreign policy and domestic standing.
Israeli settlers have increasingly entered Al Aqsa to pray since the Gaza war began in October 2023, while restrictions on Palestinian worshippers have grown.
