Sherine Budhram, who served as the regional advertising sales manager of Volt Africa in KwaZulu-Natal, retired after over 38 years of service.
Advertising sales executive Sherine Budhram, who spent 38 years generating added revenue for some of the country's well-known newspapers, bowed out last week, having made a defined imprint on the industry.
Budhram retired as the regional advertising sales manager for Volt Africa in KwaZulu-Natal on Friday, having climbed through the ranks over the years, and left behind a legacy of resilience and leadership.
Volt Africa, an advertising agency, transitioned from Independent Media in 2024.
This brings to a close the 65-year-old's career that spanned the evolution of print media in the province. But Budhram, of Chatsworth, said her passion for newspapers began long before she entered the industry.
