But one mum couldn't believe how many of one moniker appeared in her "very rural area".‌In Reddit's 'baby name' thread, a mum asked: "Parents, what are the names you hear most often at the playground, pool, school, etc that make you think, 'omg ANOTHER one??'"‌She then went on to explain that the name she hears all the time is Camilla, which may have risen in popularity in recent years thanks to Queen Camilla, King Charles III's wife.The mum penned: "For us, it’s Camilla. I’ve met six in about a 10-mile radius. We are in a very rural area. I don’t know why it surprises me so much haha".‌In the comments, someone said that they'd noticed there were "so many Ellies".Another responded: "I recently did a review of the top baby names in England and Wales for 2025, and when you group all 'Ellie' names together (so Eleanor, Elodie, Eloise, etc.), the total came out at 11,588 births, making it by FAR the most popular name."For context, the second most popular name was 'Evie' (including Evelyn, Eva, Eve, etc.), which had only 4,476 births".‌A third said: "I’m an adult, Ellie, and this is so true.
