Marlen Reusser will start Wednesday's fifth stage of the 2026 women's Tour de France wearing the yellow jersey of the overall race leader following her victory in the individual time trial on Tuesday.

Reusser, who rides for the Movistar team, finished the fourth stage between Gevrey-Chambertin and Dijon in 27 minutes and 30 seconds. The performance allowed her to snatch the yellow jersey from Sigrid Haugset who had supplanted Lorena Wiebes. Lieke Nooijen finished the time trial in second place and Demi Vollering was third, 18 seconds behind Reusser who won the world time trial championships last September in Kigali, Rwanda. "I am super happy to win," said the 34-year-old Swiss. "This is a goal that we have had in mind for a long time." Lead in fifth stage Reusser, who is competing in her fourth women's Tour de France, will take a lead of 14 seconds over Vollering into the 140km fifth stage between Mâcon and Belleville-en-Beaujolais. The 25-year-old French rider Cedrine Kerbaol moved up to third, 54 seconds behind Reusser. Kebaol's compatriot Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, who won the 2025 women's Tour de France, finished the time trial in 34th place in 29 minutes and 43 seconds to lie 14th in the overall rankings, two minutes and 13 seconds off the pace. The race finishes on Sunday with a 99km ride around Nice.
