Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum have begun supplying 100 million standard cubic feet of natural gas daily to Iraq's Kirkuk Taza power station.
The gas flows from the Khor Mor field in Kurdistan, marking the first major development since the KM250 expansion raised capacity by 50 per cent.
Dana Gas is also expanding regionally, with plans to drill additional wells in Egypt and a graphene production deal with UK-based Levidian.
The supply "lays the foundation for more co-operation on energy within Iraq's growing market, to strengthen energy security," said Dana Gas chief executive Richard Hall.
