A new floating houseboat has opened at Hotel Glamour on the shores of Zemplínska šírava, expanding the range of accommodation available at one of eastern Slovakia's best-known holiday destinations.

The project, called Noc na vodách Zemplínskej šíravy (Night on the Waters of Zemplínska šírava), was supported by the Košice Region through its Terra Incognita tourism programme with a €70,000 grant. Private investors contributed additional funding.
The 72-square-metre houseboat is permanently moored and includes a bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom, sauna and an outdoor terrace with a heated hot tub.
