DMK convenor R. Siva and party legislators were among those who courted arrest while staging a protest to condemn the detention of Opposition leader in Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Udhayanidhi Stalin in Chennai on Tuesday morning.The DMK leaders staged a road roko near the Sivaji Statue on the East Coast Road. They raised slogans condemning the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and Tamil Nadu police for detaining Mr. Udhayanidhi. They raised slogans accusing the Tamil Nadu police of working in the interest of the ruling TVK. The protesters were taken to the Lawspet police station and later released.
