Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones) and James Nesbitt (The Hobbit) have joined the cast of the BBC and BritBox‘s Agatha Christie adaptation, Hercule.
British star Edward Bluemel had already been confirmed to play the young version of Christie’s beloved detective in a six-part series.
Joining him alongside Gleeson and Nesbitt will be Henry Ashton (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) James D’Arcy (Oppenheimer), Calvin Demba (Supacell), Phil Dunning (Smoggie Queens), Tamsin Greig (Riot Women), Guy Remmers (The Buccaneers), Rebecca Rittenhouse (His & Hers) and Mawaan Rizwan (Juice).
The series, set to start filming in Liverpool imminently, is an “intimate study of Hercule Poirot the man, and an epic portrait of Britain between the wars.” The series will center around three of Christie’s early stories, while also introducing Hercule Poirot to future friends, allies and one particular nemesis.
