Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Barcelona goalie Marc-Andre ter Stegen joined Ajax on a season-long loan, the Dutch soccer club announced Tuesday.
Ter Stegen made 423 appearances for Barcelona since joining the Spanish La Liga club in 2014. He is signed with Barcelona until 2028.
The 34-year-old goalie won seven La Liga titles and a Champions League crown during his tenure at Barcelona. Wojciech Szczesny and Joan Garcia are the other goalies on Barcelona's roster.
Marc has an outstanding track record, and his qualities are widely recognized," Ajax technical director Jordi Cruijff said in a news release. "He is an immediate addition to our squad. Marc and I know each other well, and I'm looking forward to working with him again.
