The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) Coimbatore will organise the 16th edition of Fairpro, a property exhibition, in Coimbatore city from August 7 to 9.With the participation of over 35 developers who are members of the CREDAI, the fair will have details of plots, villas, luxury apartments, and gated communities in Coimbatore and nearby areas too.S.R. Arvind Kumar, president of CREDAI Coimbatore, told the media on Tuesday that details of more than 1,000 residential projects will be on display. This year, CREDAI Erode and CREDAI Trichy are also taking part in the exhibition, displaying one project each from their respective cities. The expo will be held in Hall D at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex and the stalls will be bigger this year.Coimbatore is always an end-user market with just 25 % of the buyers in the investor segment, he said.According to P. Karthik Kumar, convenor of the event, the expo registered 10,000 walks-ins last year and properties were booked for about ₹200 crore. Projects worth ₹10 lakh to ₹10 crore will be on display and the total value of these projects will be nearly ₹1,500 crore, he said.Secretary of CREDAI Coimbatore Sanjana Vijayakumar added that Coimbatore was emerging as a Global Capability Centre hub. Hence, the demand for residential units was on the rise. Most of the residential units on display are located within the city and are ongoing projects.Mr. Arvind Kumar added that the promoters will have offers for those who book properties at the fair.
