TL;DRStables, an Australian stablecoin payments infrastructure company, has announced a collaboration with Access Bank South Africa to explore cross-border payment solutions for businesses. The move marks Stables’ first step into Africa after building its USDT settlement capabilities across Asia through partnerships and a single-API enterprise platform. The two organizations will evaluate payment and settlement solutions, with any products subject to regulatory approval.

The race to modernize cross-border payments is increasingly shifting toward emerging markets, where businesses continue to face high costs, settlement delays, and fragmented financial infrastructure despite growing international trade.

Australian fintech Stables is the latest company looking to capitalize on that opportunity.

Stables has announced a collaboration with Access Bank South Africa to explore new payment infrastructure designed to improve how businesses move money across borders. Rather than launching a new product immediately, the two organizations will evaluate payment and settlement solutions that could support businesses operating across regional and international markets.

The initiative marks Stables’ first major step into Africa, with South Africa serving as the company’s regional entry point.
