“Baywatch” is heading to Canada, India and Europe, among other territories, thanks to a new multi-territory between international distributor Fremantle and Prime Video.
The pact also includes the original series’ complete back catalogue, including spin-off “Baywatch Hawaii.”
Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, Canada, Latin America and India will be able to access the new and rebooted 12-episode season of the sun-soaked drama in 2027 as well as all past seasons.
The show, which is produced by Fremantle and Fox Entertainment, is set to debut in the U.S. in January 2027. In the U.K. it will land on Sky.
“Baywatch” will see a new cast of lifeguards don the iconic red swimsuits as they patrol the world’s most famous stretch of sand, navigating ocean dramas as well as personal ones. “Arrow’s” Stephen Amell leads the series alongside Jessica Belkin (“Elle”) as Charlie Vale and Shay Mitchell (“Pretty Little Liars”) as Trina.
