Australian data center firm DXN has been contracted by the Solomon Islands Submarine Cable Company (SISCC) to design, manufacture, deliver, and install a cable landing station (CLS) to support the Adamasia Cable System 1 (ACS-1) submarine cable project.
The CLS contract is valued at approximately AU$1.2 million (US$840,000). It will comprise a fully integrated modular CLS with critical power, cooling, fire detection and suppression, standby generation, and supporting infrastructure.
The CLS will support the ACS-1, an Australian Government-funded submarine cable program focused on regional connectivity for the Solomon Islands. Delivery of the facility is due by April 2027. The ACS-1 cable is currently under development with completion scheduled for late 2027.
