Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, on Monday, urged workers in the State to convert their support for his administration into votes in the August 15, 2026, governorship election.
Speaking at a town hall interactive session with State workers organised by the Joint Labour Movement in Osogbo, Governor Adeleke said support alone would not be enough, urging every eligible worker to vote and mobilise others to participate in the election.
“Support alone is not enough. On Aug. 15, every eligible worker must convert that support into votes. Your PVC is your voice. Your vote for Imole is your power. Please come out courageously, vote early, encourage your families, neighbours and friends to do the same. Help to mobilise to get out the votes. Let formal and informal workers demonstrate courage. We should not bow to intimidation”, he said.
The governor said that if re-elected, his administration would consolidate on the achievements recorded in the last three and a half years and remain fully committed to the welfare of workers, women and youths.
Governor Adeleke also promised immediate approval and implementation of the newly proposed minimum wage once negotiations on it are concluded.
