Zhao “JieJie” Lijie is heading back to Edward Gaming. The Chinese esports organization announced the veteran jungler’s return to its League of Legends Pro League roster via a player swap with Weibo Gaming, a move that lands squarely in the middle of the 2026 LPL Split 3.
The swap and what it means for both teams
The deal, announced around August 3-4, sees JieJie leave Weibo Gaming and rejoin the EDG lineup he called home from approximately 2019 through early 2025. During that stretch, he helped the organization secure multiple LPL titles and became one of the league’s most recognizable jungle players.
His departure to Weibo at the start of 2026 was part of the annual offseason shuffle that reshapes rosters across the LPL.
Neither organization has disclosed the financial terms, contract length, or specific performance benchmarks tied to the swap.
