Airlink CEO de Villiers Engelbrecht said the Johannesburg-Harare route remains one of the busiest in Southern Africa.
Airlink will introduce scheduled flights between Johannesburg's Lanseria International Airport and Harare from 15 November 2026, marking the first scheduled airline service between the privately owned airport and Zimbabwe's capital.
Bookings for the new route are now open, with the airline set to operate three return flights a week.
The service will provide travellers with an alternative point-to-point connection from Lanseria International Airport, which serves communities and businesses on the western side of Gauteng and in the North West Province.
The route also marks Airlink's first scheduled service from Lanseria.
