Please continue to avoid the area and we will provide updates when we have them."The motorway is closed eastbound between junctions three at Hyde and four at Hattersley. National Highways says the motorway is likely to remain closed throughout the day “due to the nature of the incident”, the Manchester Evening News reported. The westbound carriageway opened at 9am.In a statement National Highways said: “The M67 in Greater Manchester is closed eastbound between J3 (Hyde) and J4 (Hattersley) due to a Greater Manchester Police led incident which occurred yesterday evening."The road was closed in both directions, circa 09:00 police confirmed the westbound carriageway has reopened.Article continues below"Police continue to carry out detailed investigations at the scene to establish the circumstances of the incident.
