It has now been brought forward and will last until 9pm.‌The warning says those in the impacted regions could see floods, lightning and hail today. As much as 30mm of rain could fall over the course of just two hours, according to the national weather agency.‌The Met Office says some flooding to homes and businesses likely, leading to some damage to buildings or structures There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus""Delays to train services are possible," the Met Office adds, while lightning strikes could damage buildings. It’s easy to do; consider gathering torches and batteries, a mobile phone power pack and other essential items."And for lightning strikes, it adds: "If you find yourself outside and hear thunder, protect yourself by finding a safe enclosed shelter (such as a car).
