A temporary riverside camping experience opened in Seoul on Saturday, offering residents a cool nighttime getaway as the city remains gripped by a scorching summer heat wave.Locals have been visiting the camping grounds in Yeouido and Ttukseom with friends and family to enjoy a leisurely time in the park after dark and relief from the tropical nights.An initiative of Seoul City, the “Han River Night+Camping” overnight camping grounds will run throughout the month of August in the Yeouido and Ttukseom sections of Han River Park. The venues are open from 5 pm to 9 am every night, and visitors can rent four-person sun shades and tents on site or bring their own to camp for the night.A total of 200 lots are available to the public, with 100 each in the field near the floating stage in Yeouido and the park at Ttukseom.
