The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested members of a fraud syndicate and a suspect in a N10.5 million breach of trust case as part of major breakthroughs in its fight against crime across the state.

Arewa PUNCH gathered that this was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Dutse, the state capital on Tuesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam.

According to the PPRO, detectives attached to Gumel Division uncovered a sophisticated fraud syndicate following a complaint on 6th July 2026 by one Ado Muhammad of Jobi, Maigatari LGA.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that fraudsters deceived the complainant’s wife, who resides in Saudi Arabia, by falsely presenting themselves as spiritual money-makers through WhatsApp,” Adam stated.

He said the victim was defrauded of ₦12,923,000.00 through multiple bank accounts after the suspects lured her online.
