Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources N. Anand visited Thideer Nagar, a locality along the Adyar river on Monday.A press release said work would be carried out to clean this stretch of Adyar river to ensure free flow of floodwater during the ensuing Northeast monsoon.Following residents’ demands for basic amenities, including toilet facilities, he instructed officials to provide mobile toilets and other amenities.
