Memphis Depay has never been accused of thinking small. The Dutch forward, who joined Brazilian club Corinthians as a free agent in September 2024, is reportedly pushing for a contract extension that includes a private suite at the club’s stadium, the right to host personal events there with a 50% revenue split, and a cut of any prize money Corinthians earns at the 2029 Club World Cup. Even if he’s no longer playing for the club at that point.

The demands, broken down

Depay’s current contract with Corinthians runs through mid-2026. The extension talks reportedly center on a package that goes well beyond salary and performance bonuses.

First, there’s the private box at Neo Quimica Arena. Not a seat upgrade. A full suite.

Then there’s the stadium access clause, which would allow Depay to use the venue for personal events. The proposed revenue-sharing arrangement on those events would reportedly give him 50% of the take.
